The patented Beacon SX+ is a cost effective stereoscopic projector that provides both active and passive visualization, at the same time. Users may choose from high quality active shutter glasses or lightweight polarized/passive glasses, ideal for larger audiences.

Compared to active 3-chip DLP™ technologies, the Beacon SX+ offers the following advantages::

• More cost effective
• Significantly higher brightness per eye in active viewing - approximately 1,200 lumens reaching each eye for Beacon versus approximately 320 lumens per eye for 2,000 lumen DLP
• No 'screen door' effect when projected to large sizes
• No external devices required to produce passive stereo that will also further reduce brightness

Compared to other polarized/passive technologies, the Beacon SX+ offers the following advantages for a comparable cost:

• Significantly less ghosting (image cross-talk between eyes) because lens shuttering prevents two eyepoints from being on-screen at the same time
• Higher contrast ratios due to only one projected eye-point being on the screen at one time
• Circularly polarized light suitable for head tilting in motion tracked applications
